Together with my sister, Agata, we went for a little reconnaissance near Gdańsk, to search for some nice locations. Agata assists me in this season on weddings and on locations. She takes a lot of photographies and makes constant progress, so in near future she will maybe offer her own wedding photography. We went to Gdańsk precincts and found some nice colza fields so we could enjoy the photo shoot with great yellow colza background on our own.

For shooting I set up a little wind-proof strobist set – SB-600 triggered with CLS by pop-up flash on D90 and a Lumiquest 80/20 with white insert and front diffuser – as a little softbox. This is how it looked:

I don’t know how the speedlight could be triggered like this, because sensor was on the the opposite side of it ;) You will never know where the light will come from ;)

After few photos Agata took my camera, but to not shock you too much, I will show You only one of my photos, the least shocking, nice one for my future election billboard :)

After colza field we went to Sobieszewo to see the Bird Paradise Preserve, where we were yesterday:

Walking through this preserve carrying camera bag and light-stand wasn’t the biggest pleasure and was breaking creativity and ideas. Additionally it is a wet terrain with a lot of mosquitoes:

The place itself is very nice looking and it is possible to take a lot of great photos there, but would be nice to get there by a bike, because carrying all the gear is exhausting. It took 2.5 hour to only walk through the preserve. The location from yesterday could be used much better and have a lot of potential. It’s only hard to get there with newlyweds, because of mosquitoes and long walk  ;)

One more observation after short visit in colza: is this always making all so dirty? ;)

    Pozdrowienia ;)

Ścieżka prowadząca poprzez groblę oddzielającą Ptasi Raj od Wisły – to sama przyjemność tam być… zazdroszczę – bo byłem tam ostatnio chyba aż 4 lata temu… pozdrawiam Kris
